The Tuczno Forest District’s forest education center is also known as the “forest nook.” It’s a place where you can relax and learn a lot of interesting facts while having fun. Small shelters with benches and tables invite you to sit down for a moment, listen to the rustling of the trees and the singing of the birds, and take a look at the educational displays. Thanks to the displays here, you can, for example, learn how an anthill is built and how an ant colony functions, as well as discover the differences between a carpenter ant, a harvester ant, and a soldier ant. There is also a set of displays presenting the tree species found within the forest district, while another area showcases forest animals and their tracks. One of the most important boards is the one outlining the rules of conduct in the forest—once you’ve memorized them, your hike through the forest will certainly not harm its inhabitants. You can also play tic-tac-toe on a large, movable wooden board and test your knowledge of trees at a pole with rotating elements.
