The park covers an area of approximately 21 hectares. It was established in the mid-19th century by the von Bonin family—the landowners at that time. The park and the palace blend beautifully into the natural landscape, with both structures situated on a small hill.

The park is quadrilateral in shape. On the eastern side, there used to be a family cemetery and a church, which, like the palace, did not survive to the present day; both the church and the palace were demolished after World War II. On the former church grounds, fragments of headstones from the family cemetery and the former Evangelical cemetery have been preserved. There is also a group of trees here designated as a natural monument. These consist of three small-leaved linden trees with circumferences of 310 cm, 320 cm, and 350 cm, as well as a horse chestnut tree with a circumference of 310 cm.

On the western side of the park is a linden tree-lined avenue. A small stream flows through the park in a deep ravine. The old trees mark the former layout of the park’s avenues, making them even more clearly visible. The dominant tree species in the park are small-leaved linden, European beech, and English oak. Black alders and European ash trees grow along the stream. In addition, the tree stand also includes common hornbeams, Norway spruces, and sycamore maples. Trees of non-native origin may also catch the eye, such as Douglas fir, Canadian hemlock, and seedling cypress. The park’s tree stand has retained its original layout. Today, many of the trees have reached the size of monumental trees. The park is a popular place for local residents to take walks.
