A monument dedicated to those who died in World War I

The monument is dedicated to the memory of local residents who died during World War I. It is made of granite. It takes the form of a rectangular pedestal set on a three-step base. It is crowned by a cornice with a canopy that flows seamlessly into a cross shaped like the Maltese cross. On the front wall is a relief depicting a helmet surrounded by oak leaves and an inscription in German: “1914–1918 To our brothers who gave their lives for us.” The side walls are inscribed with the names of the fallen, along with their places of origin and dates of death. A palm branch is carved on the back.
