At the end of the 13th century, the first church was built in the village of Gumieńce, and along with it, as was traditional, a churchyard was established. The cemetery ceased to function after World War II, and all the gravestones were removed from the site. Greenery was planted there, and a sidewalk was laid. Fragments of a stone-and-brick wall and three gates, built around 1800, have survived from the old cemetery. Two smaller gates are on the north side of the wall, and a larger one is on the east side; all are built in a style reminiscent of Classicism and feature gabled roofs.
