The church is located about 1.3 km from the center of Szczecin. It is located at the intersection of Królowej Korony Polskiej and Monte Cassino and Wojska Polskiego Streets. You can get there from the center by tram number 1 or number 10.

The temple, like many other 19th-century buildings of this type, was built in Western Pomerania for the formerly numerous Evangelical communes. The church is an example of a modernist building that bore the patrocinium Kreuzkirche, i.e., the Holy Cross. The design selected by Protestants was created by the architect Adolf Thesmacher, and the cornerstone was laid on the construction site in June 1929. The final consecration to the Evangelical community was made on November 29, 1931. Together with the House of God, a theater hall was created, which today serves the faithful for the chapel. During the military operations of World War II, the church was burnt down. It has already been rebuilt as a Catholic temple. On July 22, 1945, it was reconsecrated as the Church of Our Lady, Queen of the Polish Crown. On September 16, 1945, the parish of the Holy Family was established here. From that date, parish registers have also been kept. It is worth noting that from the very beginning the temple has been associated with the activities of female orders and congregations. They were, among others: the Sisters of Mercy of St. Borromeo, the Sisters Servants, the Camaldolese Nuns and the Help Sisters of the Souls of Purgatory.
