The church square likely served as a cemetery from the time the church was built. It was a rural Evangelical cemetery that operated during the German occupation. It has been closed and vandalized since 1945. The plot where the church—and previously the cemetery—is located is surrounded by a 19th-century wall and planted with ash and spruce trees.
