This Neo-Renaissance villa was built in 1896 for the cloth manufacturer Fritz Hildebrandt. The two-story house, with a raised basement, was designed on a nearly square floor plan. Notable features include the projection, a glass-enclosed porch with a balcony extending beyond the pediment, the decorative elements above and below the windows, and the finish of the window frames on the balcony, featuring triangular lintels. The house is surrounded by a garden established in 1897.
In 2022, thanks to the implementation of the project titled “Polish-German Cross-Border Center for the Natural and Cultural Heritage of the Middle Oder Valley Region” under the Interreg Va program, Priority Axis I: Nature and Culture, the historic villa was renovated.
The center promotes the tourist, cultural, architectural, landscape, and natural assets on both the Polish and German sides. It is a place that brings together cultural organizers, artisans, and producers of regional goods so they can share their skills and exchange experiences. It is also a venue for Polish-German workshops and meetings promoting the Middle Oder Valley Region.
The facility is managed by the Antoni Dobrowolski Public Library of the Dębno Municipal and Community Center.
