The hospital complex was built between 1904 and 1935. It consists of the following buildings: the main building, the former laundry, the water tower, the children’s clinic, the technical department, and the internal medicine ward. Most of the buildings are in the Art Nouveau style, but they also feature elements of early modernism, along with neo-Baroque and neo-Renaissance elements.

Construction of the hospital began in 1904, and its grand opening took place on November 3, 1905. The project was designed by building consultant Mettke. The Order of St. John was responsible for managing the facility. Initially, the hospital had 30 beds. In 1912, a new building was erected to house patients with infectious diseases. Between 1929 and 1931, the hospital was expanded; a new wing housing the operating suite was added at that time. After World War II, the 1935 tax office building and several residential houses were converted for hospital use, and new buildings were constructed.

The hospital grounds are covered with trees: oaks, beeches, chestnut trees, and spruces. The area is distinguished by its great scenic value thanks to its greenery, varied topography, and view of the lake.

The site is open to the public.
