Skrzynka (formerly known as Grüneberg) is a small village located near Lipiany. The first historical references to the village date back to 1337. Henning Grünenberg is considered the owner at that time, and the village’s original name derives from his surname. From 1841 onward, Ludwik Duda was the owner, and he is credited with commissioning the construction of the manor house, along with the surrounding buildings and the park. In the 20th century, the village was owned by the Ramm family. After World War II, it came under the administration of a state-owned farm (PGR).
The manor house was built around 1850 in the Neo-Gothic style. It is situated on the axis of a rectangular farmyard, which adjoins the manor house on the south side. The manor’s design draws on English architectural models from the turn of the 18th and 19th centuries. It is a brick, plastered building with two stories, a gable roof, and a rectangular floor plan. The mansion’s façade is symmetrical, with prominent side risalits. In the central, entrance section of the mansion, there is a pseudo-risalit crowned with a triangular pediment. Within the pseudo-risalit, there is an arcade featuring Tudor-style arches, extending two stories high. From the garden side, the central projection and two side wings are visible. The gable elevation on the eastern side is particularly interesting. It is a 5-axis elevation with rich architectural details, crowned with a stepped crenellated gable. Currently, the palace is connected by a passageway to a single-story red-brick building.
On the north side, the palace is surrounded by a small park (approx. 0.45 ha) with mature trees.
The last renovation took place in 1984–85.
Although the location is picturesque, both the palace and the park are severely dilapidated. The palace can be viewed from the outside. Signs warning of the risk of the building collapsing are posted in front of the entrance.
