• Address: Kocury

The manor park in Kocury dates back to the second half of the 19th century. The park served as the setting for the manor house that stood there at the time. Unfortunately, after the war, in 1945, the manor house was demolished. The park was designed in the landscape style, with a free-flowing layout. The park covers an area of 5.5 hectares, including a 0.10-hectare pond. The pond and a vast grassy clearing surrounded by trees and shrubs were intended to be the park’s main attractions. On the side facing the fields, the park is bordered by a hornbeam hedge. A chestnut-lined avenue leading from the courtyard to the manor house was once part of the park. It ran around the manor house and connected to the park’s walking paths. The eastern part of the park is dominated by mature trees. On the western and southwestern sides of the clearing, centuries-old beech trees grow. The park’s tree stand consists of: Norway spruce, silver birch, European beech, common hornbeam, English oak, European rowan, European ash, white chestnut, sycamore maple, Norway maple, small-leaved linden, broad-leaved linden, black locust, aspen, willow, and wild cherry. The oldest trees in the park are about 130–150 years old and grow mainly on the park’s outskirts and in tree-lined avenues. Currently, the walking paths are not clearly marked. The park is privately owned but is open to the public; visitors are welcome to walk through it.
