Created in mid-19th century, Fryderyk Chopin Spa Park has a number of rare tree species. The historic building in the park serves as the International Culture Centre.
The Spa Park was established in the mid-nineteenth century, below sea level. Rare tree species such as pyramidal oaks, plane trees and thuja trees grow in the park. The park is very well kept with lots of benches, fountains, flower beds and flower beds. Adjacent to the park is a building built in the second half of the 19th century, which served as a spa house until World War I. There were rooms for guests, a reading room, a music and ballet room. It was a famous place where many personalities of the then Germany used to come. Currently, the building houses the International Cultural Center. Numerous national and international events take place here, such as the International Festival of Choral Songs and the Gala of Stars Festival.
Since 1999, the Spa Park bears the name of Fryderyk Chopin and that is why there is a monument to the composer in the park. It is actually a bust placed on a narrow pedestal. Another monument in the Park is the Neptune Sculpture, which was situated in the very center, next to the Tourist Information. This sculpture was probably erected because Neptune in Roman mythology was the deity of waters, clouds and rain.
In the Park, we can also see a commemorative plaque from 2012. It is dedicated to Eryk von Zedtwitz, a maritime painter who lived and worked in Międzyzdroje.
Another interesting object in the Park is a flower bed representing a peacock. This facility is commonly known as Paw Tolek and is located on the square between the International Cultural Center and the Tourist Information point.
There is a Tourist Information Point in the park.
