The field cemetery on Kwiatowa Street was established in the mid-19th century. It is one of the best-preserved historic Evangelical cemeteries in Pomerania. The surviving headstones date from the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. The oldest headstone dates back to 1856. Among the headstones, one can find, among others, the grave of a soldier who fought in World War I.
The cemetery consists of two sections, approximately 100 meters apart, and is divided into alleys that separate the grave plots.
There are many metal elements in the cemetery. Among them are cast-iron crosses and ornate fences with cast-iron epitaph plaques featuring Art Nouveau and Modernist motifs. It is primarily these elements that give the cemetery its historic character.
The cemetery was closed after 1945; subsequently forgotten, it suffered significant damage. Currently, the cemetery is cared for by the Karol Estreicher Scientific Society in Świnoujście; thanks to the cleanup efforts of volunteers, the cemetery is protected from further damage and oblivion.
In2004, the cemetery was entered into the provincial register of historic monuments.
