The plowshare workshop—a blacksmith’s shop—was built in the first half and rebuilt in the second half of the 19th century on the site of a smithy that had existed there much earlier. It was a freestanding building located next to an artificial canal on the Dobrzyca River. Using hammers powered by three water wheels, it produced plow blades. It remained in operation until 1956, remaining in nearly pristine condition. In the 1960s, it gradually fell into disrepair, and its most valuable components disappeared. In the 1970s, students from the Agricultural Academy in Poznań undertook the ambitious task of reconstructing the plowshare factory, achieving quite good results. This was a very valuable initiative, as the plowshare factory was one of the most interesting technical monuments in the Wałcz Lake District. Unfortunately, in the years that followed, it was left unattended and fell into increasing disrepair year after year, until it once again fell into ruin. Today, only fragments of the former structures remain visible.
