The cemetery chapel was built in 1852, as evidenced by the date inscribed on the keystone of the doorway. This date is also confirmed by the building’s Neo-Gothic architecture with brick details. The construction of the chapel is linked to the establishment of a new rural cemetery. Its architectural form suggests that it may have been a mausoleum. The architects and builders of the chapel remain unknown.

It is a single-story, roofless building constructed of ceramic brick. The façade’s composition is regular, accentuated by corner pillars and oculi. The total height is 6 m. There is likely a crypt beneath the chapel with an entrance from the outside, though it is currently inaccessible.

The facades have retained their original composition and decoration. All facades are flanked by corner pillars with an octagonal cross-section. The color scheme of the facades is uniform. The chapel’s facade has the texture of exposed brickwork. The horizontal division of the facade is marked by a stepped crowning cornice made of overhanging layers of bricks. The front facade, facing southwest, is accentuated by a pointed-arch doorway. The doorway is crowned with a stone keystone bearing the date “1852.” Above the lintel is a metal plaque with an inscription from the Book of Revelation, which reads: “Behold, the dwelling place of God is with mankind.” On the interior walls of the chapel, fragments of murals featuring geometric patterns and subdued colors are visible.

The chapel is in a state of disrepair, yet it serves as a feature that enhances the landscape of the village of Pomień.
