The Promenade Along Lake Raduńskie

The promenade is a prominent section of the lakeside walking and biking path that has existed here for many years. For many years, it has been a favorite place for walks among both Wałcz residents and tourists. Part of the promenade has been developed in recent years as the Avenue of Sports Stars; metal plaques bearing the names of famous athletes who were born, educated, or trained in Wałcz have been embedded between the sidewalk slabs. There are also informational signs detailing their athletic careers.  Two telescopes have been installed along the promenade, allowing visitors to observe the distant shores of the lake. There is also a pier where the “DELFIN”—a small sightseeing boat—is moored. Most of the promenade runs along a tree-lined avenue; a stroll along this shaded path can be a real pleasure, especially since you can rest on the numerous benches placed along the promenade.
