Pełcz Lake is a large ribbon lake which covers an area of 257 ha. It is relatively deep – the average depth is 12.2 m, while the maximum depth is 31 m.

The lake is long, narrow and slightly curved. The coastline is varied – there are many hollows and bays. The narrowest point of the lake is situated in Ługowo, while the widest section of the lake is situated in Krzynki. The coastline is 20 km long. 

The shores are relatively steep and covered with plants and shrubs typical for coastlines. Moreover, in some parts the coast is boggy. The water in the lake was classified as quality class II.

In the lake there is a large population of bream, roach, tench, pike and perch. The access to the shore is difficult which results in low anthropogenic impact on the environment. The number of anglers, however, continues to grow.
