This half-timbered building dates back to the 18th century. It is the only remaining harbor granary in Goleniów. Previously used to store grain, it is now empty and closed.
The granary was built in the 18th century. A building with a half-timbered structure. The building used to be a grain warehouse. Currently, it is the only surviving port granary in Goleniów. It was built on the foundations of a granary from the 16th century.
The granary is an emblem of the historic landscape of the city, because until the 19th century Goleniów was known for well-developed port trade. This situation changed due to the difficult navigation conditions on the Ina river and within the Szczecinski Lagoon, as well as with the development of rail transport. The port definitely lost its importance when the railway connection with Szczecin, Kołobrzeg and Kamień Pomorski was opened.
Currently, the granary is not used. It serves as a commemoration of the former splendor of the Goleniów port.
