Sculpture of a Woman with Wings

The sculpture depicts a woman as an angel, carrying a small child on her shoulder; it is an allegorical representation of motherhood—the mother, like a guardian angel, cares for her child. The sculpture is a tribute to all mothers. It was made of brass and unveiled on Mother’s Day, May 26, 2014. The granite pedestal bears the inscription “In tribute to all mothers” in four languages: Polish, German, English, and Swedish.
