First of all, there is the amber fisherman with his catcher, which holds the "gold of the sea". He is surrounded by his wife, his daughter with the amber she has found in her hand, his young son and his dog. The women have taken off their shoes and laid them on the beach to protect them from the waves. The boy and the dog are meant to encourage the children to play in the fountain.
The figures are arranged in such a way that the orthogonal views do not overlap.
In my opinion, the everyday nature and scenic representation of the fountain is a suitable means for citizens and visitors to identify with the history of the town -Thomas Jastram-.
