The motif was sandblasted from colored flashed glass. In several stages of painting, enamel and transparent colors were applied to the glass and fused together at 600 degrees.
"For me, it was an honor, a pleasure and a great challenge to design the altar windows for St. Bartholomew's Church. From the first contact with Pastor Johannes Lehnert and later with the parish council and the architect Mr. Rolf Günther, there was a lot of agreement, so that the process of finding ideas was allowed to be a flowing one.
The themes of the design: faith, love, hope and their liturgical assignment to the colors blue, red and green had to be made visible in an artistic design. The goal was not the decorative function of the colored windows, but rather the desire that faith, love and hope may experience a recurring presence in St. Bartholomew's. - Thomas Kuzio-.
