Brick church and Starkow parish garden

Let us invite you to Starkow - a small, idyllic village in the Barth region, very close to the Baltic Sea and old Hanseatic towns. Enjoy a walk in the dreamy historic parish garden, a visit to the Gothic brick basilica (1242) or come to the year-round cultural events. We look forward to seeing you.

In addition to the surprisingly large and interesting brick basilica with murals and memel organ (1860), the historic village ensemble of Starkow also has a listed historic garden from the 18th-20th century, embedded in the Barthe lowlands with old fruit trees, pergola, baroque beds, apiary, perennial garden and a kitchen garden - just like in grandmother's day.

Garden tours take place during events or on request. If you have a little more time, you can find a friendly place to stay in the brick barn and enjoy freshly baked cakes and coffee on Sundays from 1.00 to 6.00 pm. The Backstein-Geist-Garten e.V. association café is open from Easter to 31.10.
