The palace in Brzeziny is in the late Baroque style. It was built in 1765 at the behest of the von Wedel family. It is a late Baroque structure.

This 18th-century structure was built on a rectangular plan. It is a magnificent and richly decorated building. Numerous architectural details catch the eye. A highlight of the palace is the turret with a balcony. In front of the building stands a fountain. The palace’s interiors were lavishly furnished, featuring, among other things, a wooden Baroque staircase, pilasters, and decorative gables. From the early 19th century until the outbreak of World War II, the palace changed hands extremely frequently. After 1945, the palace was used as a military barracks, first by Soviet troops and later by Polish forces. Left unrepaired, the palace fell into disrepair. In 1960, the palace underwent a major renovation to convert it into a social welfare home. At that time, the ceiling and wall stucco work, as well as the balcony staircase, were removed, causing the interior to lose its historical value.

The social welfare home has been located in the palace since 1964 and remains there to this day. In 2006, the building’s facade was renovated, which enhanced its visual appeal. Currently, the palace is one of the major attractions of the Drawno municipality. It is worth visiting Brzeziny to see this marvel of Baroque architecture with your own eyes. Additional highlights include the well-maintained green spaces surrounding the palace and the historic fountain. The building can be viewed from the outside.
