The rhododendron originates from North America and Eurasia and can reach a height of up to six meters. There are around 2500 plants in the park, including around 60 different rhododendron hybrids. When the more than 2000 perennials are in full bloom in May and June, the park is ablaze with color and the air is filled with the scent of the plants. During this time, the Rhododendron Queen guides visitors through the park and weekly park concerts take place. Everyone is cordially invited to the traditional Rhododendron Park Festival. We look forward to your visit!
The rhododendron park was declared a monument in December 1986. With the comprehensive renovation of the park from 2005 to 2007, Graal-Müritz was given a new concert pavilion, which can now be used all year round thanks to a lockable glass front plus the installed heating.
