The modernist water tower was built in the 1920s as part of the construction of the city’s water and sewer system. The six-story tower was built on a square plan. A reinforced concrete tank was installed on the top floor, while the lower floors housed administrative offices. In the 1950s, the tower was taken out of service due to leaks. In the 1970s, it was renovated to serve as a pressure-regulating tank for the water supply system. In 1992, it was rebuilt again. Since then, the tower has served as a backup facility. The building can only be viewed from the outside.
