The Zieleniec Park is the most popular recreational area among the inhabitants of nearby districts. Its central point is the Słoneczne Lake, formed in a natural depression of the area. It is a flowing water reservoir for the Bukowa River, built in the 1930s. In the southern part of the lake there is an island popularly known as the Island of Love. In the 1950s, there was a city beach on the shores of the lake. Later, the park and lake were neglected and gradually deteriorated. In recent years, the area of the park has been thoroughly modernized, the lake has been cleaned and stocked up, and the park has been equipped with a rich infrastructure. Currently, there are walking paths and a bicycle path around the lake. The bridge leading to the Island of Love, with two wooden gazebos and benches, was also renovated. A new playground, a small stage, a health path, and a viewing platform were also built in the park. There are benches, litter bins and new lighting installed throughout the park. A small, fenced, sandy football field was also modernized. Information boards have been set up along alleys. In 2014, an open-air gym with lots of exercise equipment was located here.
