Lapidarium

The Lapidarium in Rzyszczewo was established in 2010. It commemorates the former residents of Rzyszczewo and nearby Rzyszczewko. Thanks to the efforts of the Association for the Development of the Villages of Rzyszczewo and Rzyszczewko, the 19th-century Evangelical cemetery was successfully restored. It was fenced off and tidied up. Currently, the German gravestones have been gathered in one place—at the end of the path leading from the street. New trees have been planted on both sides of the path. Care has also been taken to preserve the original, lush old-growth trees. The lapidarium is marked by a commemorative plaque in Polish and German.
