Shanty Singing on the Oder River

The project "Szantowe śpiewanki nad Odrą" is a proposal for Szczecinians to make music and sing together, to meet, play and sing nautical songs, including songs about maritime, harbor and sailing Szczecin. Everyone will be able to join this shanty jam session by singing or playing any instrument they bring. We have prepared a songbook for the occasion, which will be available online, and will include the songs we propose to sing together. There will also be a "microphone for everyone," meaning that we will be happy to listen to you sing with us into the microphone, so that you can be better heard. The place is no coincidence: it's Piastowski Boulevard and the already iconic KUTERszczecinpl moored at it - the site of many informal and formal, musical cultural initiatives organized in Szczecin. "Szantowe Śpiewanki nad Odrą" aims to show Szczecinians that it is possible to have a great time together on the Odra River, integrating around music and the river, which is still, an underestimated axis for the cultural life of our city.
