"Wandering around old Szczecin". - an exhibition of works by Izabela Ewa Staśkiewicz

In a series of paintings on the theme of Szczecin, the artist returns to the past not for the first time. Wandering through the old streets of the city, she shows corners and buildings that have not survived to our time. How nice it is to at least rub up against history and stimulate the imagination, absorbing that world with all the senses. Hear with your eyes the hustle and bustle of the riverside boulevards, market squares or streets. Although the details are not always clear, many fragments are obscured by the fog of remoteness, she finds the atmosphere of the city, its image from years ago, very evocative. She likes to show motifs from our city decades ago on her canvases. It's extremely touching and inspiring at the same time. The series includes 20 new paintings, painted using the impasto technique, oil on canvas. A walk through the former metropolitan Szczecin will certainly be an extremely interesting experience!
