SZCZECINSKI POETRY SALON Poems by Elizabeth Bishop, Ewa Lipska, Robert Frost, Philip Larkin, George Herbert and Seamus Heaney are read by Michal Zablocki June 20 (Thursday), at. 17:30 Sala Anna Jagiellonka Tickets: PLN 20 Foreword and introduction: Michal Józef Kawecki, creator and host of Szczecin Poetry Salon Musical setting: Olha Bila (piano) Michal Zablocki - poet, songwriter, screenwriter, director, producer of plays and musical shows, member of the ZPAV Phonographic Academy. Son of actress Alina Janowska and sportsman and architect Wojciech Zablocki. President of the Cracow branch of the Polish Writers' Associations. He made his debut in 1982 with the publication of three poems in "Radar" magazine. He has published more than a dozen volumes of poetry, and since 2002 has been associated with the poetry action "Poems on the walls" at Bracka Street in Krakow. Since 2010, he has been leading poetry workshops at the Literary and Artistic Studies at Jagiellonian University. He is the author of the Poetic Revolution Program "Multipoetry" and an international website according to his own idea emultipoetry.eu Since 1987 he has collaborated with the cabaret "Piwnica pod Baranami", including Grzegorz Turnau, Anna Szałapak, Beata Rybotycka, Jacek Wójcicki. Author of song lyrics from the repertoire of, among others, Grzegorz Turnau (Cichosza, Bracka, Między ciszą a ciszą, Naprawdę nie dzieje się nic). Winner of the Music Singles plebiscite in the category of best talent of the year 1993 for the songs Cichosza by Grzegorz Turnau and Zaklinanie Czaric by Jan Kanty Pawluśkiewicz performed by Anna Szałapak. Together with Agnieszka Chrzanowska, he was awarded the Bronze Olympic Laurel for his concert and album Olympic Fire. Honored in March 2018 with the Krakow Book of the Month Award for his volume of poems Janowska. In May 2024 he performed in the program "Zablocki in person" during the National Festival of Polish Song in Opole.
