The Evangelical cemetery in Jankow was established in the second half of the 19th century, a short distance from the village. It was Jankow's second necropolis, the first having previously existed near the old church. The cemetery is bounded on one side by the railroad, and on the other by a running dirt road, from which the entrance to the site leads. The entire cemetery is surrounded by a stone wall fence. It is blended into the landscape of the forest and forms a rectangular form of 50 x 35 meters (the outline of the stone wall). This was the so-called older part of the cemetery, where the dead were buried in the second half of the 19th century. After 1945, burials ceased and the cemetery lost its function. In the 1970s, iron crosses were removed. Currently, only a few tombstones have preserved legible inscriptions, being a testimony to local stonemasonry craftsmanship. The oldest tombstone, is dedicated to Albert Marpiardt, who died on August 7, 1882, living 76 years. Documentation from the conservation service confirms 47 free-standing graves of various sizes. The tombstones display ornaments of oak leaves, which, along with acorns, symbolize justice and the eternal rest of the deceased.
