Simon Haje (born 2005) is a successful young German pianist with a wide range of concert appearances and a first prize winner at international competitions, most recently in Enschede, Neuchatel and Aarhus. He has been taking piano lessons since the age of six. At the age of nine, he became a junior student at the Julius Stern Institute of the Berlin University of the Arts in the class of Stefan Lietz and later with Prof. Markus Groh. He was also an early student at the "young academy Rostock", the international center for the musically gifted with Prof. Bernd Zack. He attended masterclasses with professors Eldar Nebolsin, Klaus Hellwig, Jacques Rouvier and Jan Jiracek von Arnim, among others. In October 2023, he began his Bachelor's degree in Prof. Markus Groh's piano class at the Berlin University of the Arts. Since the age of seven, Simon Haje has only won first prizes in the piano solo, ensemble, accompaniment, organ and voice categories at the "Jugend musiziert" music competition, most recently in 2021 at the national competition in the ensemble category. He has also received numerous special prizes, including for the "Interpretation of Contemporary Music", the "Kulturradio Special Prize" from "Rundfunk Berlin Brandenburg" and the special prize of the Hindemith Foundation at the WESPE Special Prize Festival in Lübeck.
