"The Mayor" by Piwnica przy Krypcie Theater is a monodrama full of anecdotes and hits, performed by the excellent Adam Dzieciniak, based on a text by Tomasz Jachimek, a cabaret artist, entertainer, publicist and lyricist. The director is Waldemar Patlewicz, whom castle theater audiences already know from his acclaimed (a dozen years on the bill) play "Mel Gibson's Colleague."

The title mayor, the best in the history of the town (he has held the post for 40 years), is just turning 70. This is the perfect occasion for a spectacular retirement. The celebration is planned in every detail. First a farewell at the magistrate's office, then a solemn mass in the church, and finally a dignified parade through the streets of the town. 70 minutes of celebration for a 70th birthday. Will the ceremony satisfy the mayor, his colleagues, his family and the townspeople?

The performance takes place in the Large Courtyard. Unnumbered seats.
