We would like to invite you to a unique performance of "Gusła" by the Lubuski Theater, based on the second part and fragments of the fourth part of Adam Mickiewicz's Dziady (Forefathers' Eve).

World-renowned director Grzegorz Bral - creator of Song of the Goat Theater - translated the romantic masterpiece of the Polish classics into the poignant, deeply emotional language of theater. Gusła, which grew out of a ritual in honor of the dead, touches on the theme not only of mourning and the loss of a loved one, but also of the country of the time and great ideals.

The all-musical performance with incredible costumes by Adam Lucki squeezes at the throat. Everything the bard wrote about in Parts II and IV of Dziady is reflected in the element of total theater, where the content emerges from the sophisticated staging form. The performance of nine actors, clad in Adam Lucki's seasoned costumes, presents a frenetic acting display on the stage, lit by an eerie glow. Every word - spoken, shouted or sung - has its meaning in this hypnotic performance, as does every movement and gesture, and even every drop of sweat. After all, let's not forget that participating in such a dynamic show required a tremendous effort from the actors, which yielded impressive results.

The famous director Grzegorz Bral - creator of Song of the Goat Theater in Wroclaw - undertook the staging of an innovative musical drama, referring, moreover, to history and politics. For the characters-symbols are a reflection of the situation of our country in the era of partitions, the funeral rite becomes, as Bral himself explains: "a liturgy of Poland's decline and death, as well as an incredible longing."

We invite you to experience this unique event together, which will surely remain in your memory for a long time, showing the beauty and power of Polish literature and theater.
