The Baltic Regatta of Solitary Sailors for the Polonez Cup is a challenging sailing event organized since 1974. At that time, the sailors of the Yacht Club of the Maritime University of Szczecin organized this regatta for the first time and the winner was Capt. Kazimierz "Kuba" Jaworski, a yacht builder at the Leonid Teliga Maritime Yachting Yard in Szczecin. In 1975, the Club of Solitary Sailors was established. It grouped lone sailors who, until 1983, organized these regattas jointly with JK WSM.
It was, among other things, thanks to the initiative and commitment of members of the JSC that the Baltic Regatta of Solitary Sailors Polonez Cup Regatta was reactivated after a multi-year break, which in 2010-2011 was organized in the same formula and under the same name. Subsequent editions of the ragat under the name Baltic Polonez Cup Race were organized in 2012-2015 by the Polish Maritime Foundation, 2016-2019 by the Sail Portal Sailing Foundation.
The Lonesome Sailors Club, after a two-year break in 2021, resumed the Baltic Lonesome Sailors' Regatta for the "Polonez" Cup and again invites sailors to compete in this year's edition combined with the Maritime Sailing Championship of Poland for Single Crews.
