The Piaschowa Quartet was founded in 2022 at the C.P.E. Bach Music High School and the Julius Stern Institute of the Berlin University of the Arts and is coached by lecturer Peter Rainer. The quartet, consisting of Kira Elisabeth Koch (2010), Roman Spirin (2009), violins alternating, Laila Honda (2012), viola and Lennard Noah Voigt (2009) cello, won the First Federal Prize with the highest score and the highly endowed Eduard Söring Prize of the German Foundation for Musical Life after very successful participation in the Jugend musiziert 2023 competition. In addition, the quartet was awarded the Steinway&Sons Special Prize of the Youth Jury at state level.
In July 2023, the quartet took part in an exchange project with the Philadelphia Girls Choir and performed with the equally award-winning choir from the United States.
In October 2023, the quartet won first prize at the Dussmann Competition and performed at the Berlin Philharmonie on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the German Music Council.
In February, the quartet played in the renowned series of lunch concerts at the Berlin Philharmonie
All members are scholarship holders of the German Foundation for Musical Life.
