7th International Wieslaw Maniak Memorial

The Wieslaw Maniak International Memorial is a cyclical event, held since 2018 and commemorating the most outstanding legend of Szczecin sprinting, Olympic medalist (Tokyo'64) and European Champion.

The competition is held at the city's athletics stadium named after Maniac himself and features a variety of interesting competitions in which the best athletes from Poland, Europe and various corners of the world compete.
Szczecin loves athletics, as evidenced by full stands of fans in previous years. The Memorial has become a true celebration of athletics in our city, with both adults and children eagerly participating.
Wieslaw Maniak Memorial is one of the most important athletics meetings in Poland. In 2023, our competition is included in the World Athletics Continental Tour 2023 Challenger Series.

The Wieslaw Maniak International Memorial is one of the most important athletics myths in Poland, but, what is worth mentioning, it is gradually building its brand on the international stage as well. The 2023 edition has gained international fame and very positive feedback both in the sports community and among fans, volunteers and representatives of cooperating organizations and institutions. As a result, the organizers decided to raise the rank of the event, as a result of which the 7th Wieslaw Maniak International Memorial has been included in the World Athletics Continental Tour Bronze Level Meetings series.
