"MAYDAY" SHOW

The story of an unlucky cab driver-bigamist, whose happy life at the side of two women is interrupted by an unexpected accident. The following avalanche of strange coincidences, statements misunderstood by the characters and events misinterpreted by them lead to an absurd complication of the situation.

Ray Cooney's play was first performed in 1983 in London in the West End there, then on New York's Broadway, and from there it went around the world to more than half a thousand stages. The Szczecin premiere of the farce took place on AUGUST 14, 1999 at the Polish Theater. The play was directed by Stefan Szaciłowski, the set was designed by Jan Banucha, and the music was prepared by Adam Opatowicz. The Polish translator of the play is Elzbieta Wozniak.

For 25 years the play has been performed at the Polish Theater with an almost unchanged cast. This is a rarity, perhaps even on a world scale!
