PERFORMANCE "AVENUE OF MERIT"

"Alley of Merit" directed by Krzysztof Materna.

A story about a married couple who come to the conclusion that there may be a problem with their burial. Why? Because they do not have the money to pay for their own funeral. But - due to the fact that she is a poet, distinguished for literature, awarded and appreciated - the couple concludes that they must arrange a grave and funeral for free from the state, in the Alley of Merit. The author of the play, Yaroslav Mikolajewski, writes this about his text: "This is not a thing only about poets, artists. It's a text about the juggernaut dimension of life in which we live. About the aspiration of sublimity, which turns out to be a gradual acceptance of the fate that is beyond this dream. About despair, for which, even if you are a poet, you find no words other than curses."
