The tenement houses at Hołdu Pruskiego Street

The tenement house complex at Hołdu Pruskiego Street consists of a dozen buildings with rich architecture that will delight every tourist. The buildings were erected in the early twentieth century. The architect of the houses remains unknown, but it is seen at first glance that the person must have been an extremely talented man. Each of the houses has a main body adorned with numerous details, which in turn creates the impression of unusual structures. 

These are the buildings erected on the plan of a quadrangle, with a basement. They are three-storey ones at the front and four-storey ones at the back. The body of the buildings are fragmented through the use of breaks. On the front façade You can admire the balconies and window openings decorated with numerous ornaments with floral motifs. Most embellishments refer to Art Nouveau. The window openings have a variety of shapes. They are tied by plastered bands and topped here and there with cornices. In addition, bas-relief decorating can be seen at elevations. Mansard roofs with dormers and irregularly distributed extensions are also impressive. Each house has a characteristic element so that each one is unique. The pinnacle of the facade topped with mansard pyramidal roof can be one example. 

The tenement houses at Hołdu Pruskiego Street represent a similar style. They are located on both sides of the cobbled street, which reinforces the impression of great architectural masterpiece. Currently, a repair of monuments is being carried out, which is to highlight their attractiveness. They are residential buildings and can be admired from the outside.
