Review of Polish monodrama at the Castle of Pomeranian Dukes in Szczecin
August - November 2024
Contra plures is the first initiative to show Szczecin audiences the achievements of Polish monodrama. It consists of master creations, enabling close experience of acting artistry, as well as the latest proposals from the young generation of artists. The castle invites to eight exceptional performances by outstanding actresses and actors.
The event is co-financed by funds from the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage from the Culture Promotion Fund - a state earmarked fund.
The project is co-financed from the budget of the West Pomeranian Voivodeship in the framework of a special purpose grant for the realization of the task entitled Contra plures - Review of Polish Monodrama in the Pomeranian Dukes' Castle 2024.

The play is about the idiocy and senselessness of war. It touches on the subject of a man thrown into the military cogs, who is able to cope thanks to childish naivety and good-naturedness. It exposes the stupidity of superiors and those in power.
