Review of Polish monodrama at the Castle of Pomeranian Dukes in Szczecin
August - November 2024
Contra plures is the first initiative to show Szczecin audiences the achievements of Polish monodrama. It consists of master creations, enabling close experience of acting artistry, as well as the latest proposals from the young generation of artists. The castle invites to eight exceptional performances by outstanding actresses and actors.
The event is co-financed by funds from the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage from the Culture Promotion Fund - a state earmarked fund.
The project is co-financed from the budget of the West Pomeranian Voivodeship in the framework of an earmarked grant for the realization of the task entitled Contra plures - Review of Polish Monodrama at the Castle of Pomeranian Dukes 2024.

A biographical story about Giulietta Masina, an outstanding Italian actress, Federico Fellini's life partner and the star of his legendary films such as "La Strada," "The Blue Bird," "Nights of Cabiria" and "Giulietta and the Spirits." The entire narrative of the main character focuses on her feelings, as well as her extremely difficult relationship with Fellini, both on a professional and marital level. The play becomes an excuse to look at a universal, timeless, faithful woman who loses herself for love of a brilliant but unfaithful husband.
A meeting with director and actor Marek Koterski is planned before the performance.
