We would like to invite you to a meeting with the authors of folders in the series about maritime Szczecin - Ryszard Kotla and Maria Lopuch, which will be hosted by Wojciech Lopuch, President of the Szczecin Cultural Society.
"Maciejewicz's Mast" by Ryszard Kotla tells the interesting history of the mast, which for many years greeted those entering Szczecin via the Castle Route. It corresponds with the turbulent life of "Captain-Captains" - Konstanty Maciejewicz. The most famous of Polish captains of great sailing, the creator of Polish maritime education. The richly illustrated folder also shows the role that the Maritime Lyceum and the "Gryfia" shipyard played, and still plays at the Maritime University of Technology.

"Maritime souvenirs of Szczecin" by Maria Lopuch, the last in the series of folders, is devoted to the numerous maritime artifacts scattered over the vast area of the city. These include small sculptures alluding to maritime themes, commemorative plaques, various anchors, ship bolts and chains or harbor cranes. They are an indispensable element in the urban space fulfilling not only a decorative role, but also commemorating many important events related to the maritime history of Szczecin.
