Folk Music Festival "Zachodniopomorskie Folkowisko"

The West Pomeranian Folk University - Foundation in Mierzyn and the Municipality of Dobra are pleased to invite to the open-air Folk Music Festival "Zachodniopomorskie Folkowisko", which will be held on September 8, 2024 at the sports and recreation area "Mierzynianka" at 20 Nasienna Street in Mierzyn.
Folk dance and vocal ensembles will present themselves during the festival; about 15 groups are planned to perform, including the Szczecinianie Song and Dance Group and the Krąg Song and Dance Group of the Szczecin Land. The aim of the festival is to popularize folk culture by presenting the values contained in traditional dances and songs. We invite everyone whose heart is close to folklore and those who would like to get acquainted with this element of our national culture. The festival will be opened by Ms. Magdalena Zagrodzka, Head of Dobra Commune, and hosted by Dariusz Baranik.
The Policki District is a partner of the event, and media patronage is provided by TVP3 Szczecin, Radio Szczecin and Kurier Szczecinski. The festival is organized as part of the Summer School of Music-making, a project subsidized by the Minister of Culture and National Heritage and implemented as part of the National Cultural Center's program "EthnoPolska. Edition 2024".
