Born in the GDR, raised in a united Germany. When the Wall falls, Stine is just three years old. But the family is deeply entangled in a system they cannot let go of - and in the belief that they have lived the right life. In her novel "The Possibility of Happiness", Anne Rabe tells of the wounds of a generation that grew up between dictatorship and democracy, and explores the origins of racism and violence.

Anne Rabe, born in Wismar in 1986, is a playwright and screenwriter. She co-wrote the screenplay for the RBB cult series "Warten auf'n Bus". "Die Möglichkeit von Glück" is her first novel.
