In September, Pasewalk will once again welcome a visit from the orchestra. This time, the passionate musicians led by conductor Andreas Schulz are relying on an idea with their program of the finest classical music that already ensured full halls at the beginning of the concert series in 2018:
The concert performance of an opera with vocal soloists and the usual orchestra.
While the "Queen of the Night" belted out her world-famous "Magic Flute" aria in 2018, on September 20, 2024, five soloists will bring the Sultan's Palace from "The Abduction from the Seraglio" by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart to life in the Historisches U with a powerful sound.
The plot of this lively opera:
The brave Belmonte plans to free his beloved Konstanze and her companions from the clutches of the Turkish Bassa Selim. With the help of the deceitful servant Pedrillo and despite the watchful eyes of the grumpy guard Osmin, the dangerous plan seems to succeed at first, until the intruders are discovered...
The plot of the opera is narrated in an entertaining way by Lutz Schumacher, Managing Director of the Nordkurier Media Group. This makes it easy for visitors without in-depth knowledge of classical music to access the pieces.
The orchestra's fall tour will take it to Malchow, Teterow and Torgelow in September - and of course to Pasewalk on September 20. The evening concert in the Historisches U begins at 7 pm.
"Stadt.Land.Klassik!" is a concert series organized by the Neue Philharmonie MV in collaboration with the Nordkurier media group. The organizers bring classical music at affordable prices to many regions of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern away from large venues.
