Teatr Polska - performance "Little Fifteen - legends of Pomerania".

Walecki Cultural Center invites you to a performance within the framework of Teatr Polska "Little Fifteen - Legends of Pomerania".

October 29, at 18.00, WCK auditorium

Little Fifteen is the story of a disaster that happened on vacation in 1948 on Lake Gardno near Slupsk. During a scout camp, the tutor wanted to make an attraction for the scouts and organized a boat trip across Lake Gardno to the sea. However, the boats turned out to be hollow, and not all the scouts knew how to swim... The play is an attempt to recreate these events. The audience will be jurors, and the actors will testify accounts. The play will also hear live scout songs.
The script of the play "Little Fifteen" was qualified for the finals of the 16th Gdynia Drama Award.
The play was qualified for the finals of the 29th National Competition for the Staging of Polish Contemporary Art, where it won the following awards:
Second Prize - for the creators and performers of the play,
Award for directing the play for Tomasz Man,
Individual acting award for Mariusz Bonaszewski,
Individual acting award for Anna Grochowska,
Individual acting award for Katarzyna Palka.
In addition, as part of the competition, the New Witkacy Theater in Slupsk was awarded the main prize "for its consistent strategy of building a repertoire based on premières of Polish contemporary texts."
The script of the play was developed thanks to a creative grant from the Marshal of the Pomeranian Voivodeship awarded to Tomasz Man.
The play was created with the support of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage under the "Theater" program.
In the "Subjective summary of the theatrical season 2022/2023" of the Theater For All portal, the play was awarded in two categories:
- Best staging of new Polish plays,
- Best Direction (Tomasz Man).
Tomasz Man and Mariusz Bonaszewski were nominated for the play "Little Fifteen - legends of Pomerania" for the Theatre Monthly awards in the categories:
- Best Direction of the 2022/2023 season in Polish theater,
- Best Role of the 2022/2023 season in Polish theater.
