Since 2005, she has concentrated mainly on music-making, which has turned out to be her true passion. She has released five solo albums - City Mania (2005), Maria Awaria (2008), Jesus Maria Peszek (2012), Carbine (2016), Ave Maria (2021). Each of them created a media storm and proved to be an artistic and commercial success at the same time. She has played more than 500 enthusiastically received concerts in Poland and abroad, on club stages and at major Polish and European festivals. She has won prestigious awards: Passport of "Polityka", Fryderyk Awards, Inspiration of "Gazeta Wyborcza" and Phenomenon of "Przekroj". For five years she hosted her own program Radio Maria on Radio Roxy.

Maria Peszek evokes extreme emotions, clearly and openly expresses her views and is one of the most outspoken figures in the public space. In 2022, she played the leading female role in the Netflix miniseries The Queen, and her acting performance was enthusiastically received by audiences and reviewers alike.

In the same year, Maria Peszek's literary debut "Naku*wiam zen" was published by MARGINESY Publishing House. This honest to the point of pain, captivating book about the unconventional relationship between two outstanding artists who are also father and daughter, which is a record of conversations between Maria Peszek and Jan Peszek, quickly became a publishing bestseller. The book was loved by readers of all generations crowding the author's meetings, with which Maria travels around the country and abroad.
