When it appears that our time on Earth is coming to an end, a team of explorers embarks on the most important mission in human history. The explorers travel beyond the boundaries of the galaxy to see if the human race has a chance to survive among the stars.

Asked about his inspiration for creating "Interstellar," the director replied that most people of his generation dreamed of becoming an astronaut as a child. He was enthralled by Kubrick's "2001: A Space Odyssey" when he watched it as a child with his father. He admitted that he wanted a similar experience for the new generation with "Interstellar" (...). The director also added other titles like "Star Wars" and "Android Hunter" to his inspirations. Most importantly, however, Nolan promised a journey to worlds previously unseen on the screen, but stipulated that in addition to the great adventure, viewers will also have to consider what makes us human and what makes us put ourselves in the role of eternal explorers.

The film screenings are preceded by a lecture, prepared and delivered by Krzysztof Spór. The organizer reserves the right to change the program.
