Book launch of WHERE IS YETI

The START Foundation invites you to the premiere of the book "WHERE IS YETI?" aimed at every generation. The author of the tale is Szczecin resident Marcin YETI Tomaszewski, a Polish mountaineer and climber, specializing, among other things, in big-canopy climbing. The illustrator of the fourteen graphics specially created for the work is painter, computer graphic artist, member of the International Watercolor Society Poland and ZPAP PSU -Mariusz Kula. The literary works were published in 2014 in the form of an audiobook issued with a grant from the Marshal of the West Pomeranian Voivodeship, and the entire edition was donated to centers for difficult youth, children's wards of Szczecin hospitals, as well as orphanages in our region. The work is published in a multilingual version using 15 world languages. Each tale is written in Polish, English and one of the other 14. The three language versions are in side-by-side columns so that the reader can compare individual words, sentences, literary contexts in order to better communicate with the world. The subject matter of the fairy tales is strongly varied, as it includes psychological, educational, moral and moving aspects of the reader's imagination. Most of the tales were created during mountaineering expeditions to various ends of the world such as Alaska, Greenland, Patagonia and Baffin Land recognized by the climbing community around the world and repeatedly awarded for new climbing routes in extreme conditions. On the occasion of the launch of the 1,000-copy edition, which will be combined with a literary evening and author's meeting, there will also be a multimedia presentation by the athlete and also the author of the book on his worldwide achievements in the field of professional bigwall climbing, to which both lovers of the climbing discipline itself and poetry are invited. After the presentation, selected excerpts from the book will be read to provide the audience with an unforgettable experience and to stimulate the imagination of each of the guests who come.
