We invite you to a meeting with Wieslaw Lugiewka, the hero of the book "Wieslaw Lugiewka. Such am I..." by Iwona Gacparska, which will be attended by the author of the publication and the chairman of the Szczecin branch of the Union of Polish Stage Artists, Miroslaw Kosinski.
"Wieslaw Lugiewka. Such am I..." is the latest book by Iwona Gacparska presenting the silhouette of one of the most recognizable actors of the musical, dramatic and cabaret stages - Wieslaw Łągiewka. The hero sums up 50 years spent in Szczecin and half a century of artistic work. He talks about his childhood spent in the Opole region, his path to becoming a singing actor, his first years in Szczecin's Musical Theater on Potulicka Street, his roles in the Opera and Operetta at the Castle, Polish Theater, Piwnica przy Krypcie and Krypta Theater. He describes his participation in the Student Song Festival in Krakow, and recalls the behind-the-scenes work on the set of Andrzej Wajda's "Revenge". We learn about the circumstances of his meetings with such well-known figures of Polish culture as Roman Polanski, Zbigniew Wodecki, Boguslaw Mec, Stanislaw Tym and many others. The reader gets to know him as an actor, singer, director and social activist.
